2010 Bible Curriculum- "Go The Distance"

Each year UW creates a central theme and a curriculum built around that theme. In 2010, the camp theme will be "Go The Distance" and the theme verse will be II Timothy 4:6-8. There are four major components of the Bible program:
  1. Music
  2. Illusions
  3. Sports Story
  4. Bible Story

  5. Music

Music is a major part of the UW camp philosophy. Every year a different CD is produced with all the songs for that year's camp. Interns are taught how to lead the motions to the songs at training in Oklahoma. Music is done during the opening session, camp fun time and at Bible time.

    Illusions

During snack time everyday an intern will perform an illusion or object lesson that ties in with the theme for the day. All interns are taught all five illusions at training in Oklahoma.

    Sports Story

There are five sports stories that accompany the Bible lesson for each day. The 2010 sports stories are being finalized and will be listed heer soon!

    Bible Story

The Bible story for the day will conclude each day of camp. Interns and coaches in 2010 will be teaching about the life of Paul. Each account from his life talk about how he "went the distance" and how we can too.

To Go the Distance, you must:

    • Monday- Be willing to change
    • Tuesday- Endure hardships.
    • Wednesday- Know how to renew your strength.
    • Thursday- Realize you cannot do it alone.
    • Friday- Know where the finish line is.
